Every single piece of Pashmina crafted in the Valley of Kashmir narrates a long and interesting tale behind its making. And so does this one - off white, hand embroidered, and breathtakingly beautiful. Before it was handcrafted into a shawl, it began its journey as the underbelly hair of the Pashmina goat in Ladakh. It was from there that it graduated first into fibre spun by hand and then a shawl, woven by hand into warps and wefts. Finally, the shawl was handed over to the Sozni Kaar who embroidered it in all intricacy and skill to the tunes of his needle, as it paved way through the delicate fibre underneath. The border of the shawl thus displays an array of flowers, carefully complimenting the off white base lying underneath. The embroidered wrap thus created is sent to the Pashmina Testing Lab from where it qualifies as a GI Certified Pashmina.  NOTE: The actual color of the product may slightly differ due to photographic effects.
Yinder Pashmina Society is a group of artisans who come together to restore the art of Pashmina making to its original glory. Their signature Pashmina bears a seal of authenticity, the G.I mark which can be used to trace the artisan behind its making. The wraps created by the Yinder Group are hence a luxury to be cherished for a lifetime.
Pashmina! For over a thousand years the finest craftsmanship of Kashmir artisans’ hand spinning a masterpiece has been a token of sophistication of a different level. The word Pashmina is derived from the Persian word Pashm which refers to the luxury wool. A typical Pashmina begins its journey in the mountainous region of Ladakh, where the Chanthangi Goat resides. The Pashm fibres thus obtained are cleaned and combed and spun by hand with utmost skill and dedication. The threads so obtained are given to the weaver who weaves them into warps and wefts, one knot at a time and bind them into a plush wrap or a piece of luxury clothing
